Pearley Melrose Veinotte, 85 of Berwick passed away February 3, 2018 in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born April 2, 1932 in Morristown, he was the eldest son of the late Noble Melrose and Eva Jane (Hiltz) Veinotte.
Pearley led an active life and was employed many years with Fred Ewing farming and later he worked with the Dept. of Highways. Upon his retirement, he took up residence in Berwick.
He is survived by siblings his brothers Harland (Judy) Veinotte of Morrisburg, ON; Ervine (Rhona) Veinotte of Nicholsville; Lewis (Elizabeth) Veinotte of Winona, ON; Rodney (Sarah) Veinotte of Greenwood; sisters Pansy Wagner of Grimsby, ON; June (Judson) Corkum of Aylesford; Linda (Robert) Slauenwhite of Aylesford; Carolyn (James) Freshwater of Vegas, NV; Anna Ehrenfeld of Middleton; Joyce (Mark) Forsythe of Cambridge and many nieces and nephews.
Pearley was predeceased by brothers Carson in infancy and Frederick Veinotte; brothers-in-law Raymond Wagner and Roger Ehrenfeld.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the Medical Floor Nursing Staff and Dr. Saxon, in the Middleton Soldiers Memorial Hospital, for their wonderful care and their kindness. As well as offering a thank you to the Serenity Funeral Home staff, for all their kindness and compassion shown in our time of need.
A visitation will take place on February 15, 2018 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on February 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm, both held in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
