Kathleen "Kay" Iola Frost Conrad, a well known resident of Port Williams, passed away February 14, 2017 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Beaver River, Yarmouth County in 1925. She was the daughter of Chester and Hope (Height) Frost. She was a member of Port Williams Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, envoled in Baby Band and the Loyal Workers. Over the years she was a member of Lioness, Kings Co., C.B. Club, Valley Country and Bluegrass Club, Kings Co., Senior Council and Port Williams Senior Club. Kay loved arts and crafts, her favorite were macrome and needle punch. She started sewing at a very early age and was a great seamstress. She loved all types of music, but usually played and sang country and gospel; performing in many places throughout Nova Scotia. She is survived by her daughters Sonja (John) McLeod of Mount Denson; Sandra Conrad Lutz of Port Williams; son Randall (Pam) Conrad of Port Williams; grandchildren Tim McLeod of Florida, USA; Jeff McLeod of Toronto; Kerry McKhinnie of Port Williams; Troy (Kristine) Lutz of Halifax; two step-granddaughters Heather Magur of Bridgewater; Nicole Magur of Oxford; two great grandsons Cody McKhinnie of Port Williams unity Taylor Lutz of London, ON; great granddaughter Kathleen Lutz of Halifax; step great grandson Wyatt Sarty of Bridgewater; sisters Althea Churchill of Santford; Fay Noster of Yarmouth; Carol Frost of Port Maitland; sister in law Kathleen "Kay" Keddy of Berwick; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Spurgeon; her parents; 2 grandsons Jason McLeod (infant) of Mount Denson; Kevin McLeod of Toronto; sisters Lyla Perry; Leta Outhouse; Helena Tidd; brothers Roy; Clyde and Kingsley. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers, VON, Evergreen Home for Special Care, Valley Regional Hospital and the kindness of friends and neighbours. Cremation has taken place and a service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
