Obituary of Kathleen Shaw

SHAW (nee Rawlinson), Kathleen (Kay) Wolfville NS Age 90, on March 6, 2017 died peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital Middleton following a brief hospital stay. She is survived by daughter Sally Shaw (Howard Hutton), son Peter Shaw (Connie Tang) daughter in law Sheryl Campbell, grandchildren, Christopher Rimmer (Patricia French), Kathleen Pentney (Adam), Kevin Shaw (Danielle), Mark Shaw (Kelly), Chloe and Matthew Shaw, 6 great-grandchildren and brothers Robin Rawlinson (Ann) and Peter Rawlinson (Pauline), She was predeceased by husband Leonard, son Michael, siblings Morris, Ernest, Ruby and Jean and dear friend Robert Richardson. Born May 8, 1926 in Frensham UK, Kay worked as a nanny and a machinist during the war. Len and Kay immigrated to Canada in 1966 to seek a better life for their children. They eventually retired to the Annapolis Valley where Kay created beautiful gardens, enjoyed painting, cooking and spending time with family and friends. We would like to thank the staff of Orchard Villa in Berwick where she spent her last months and the staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for her care in her last days. Cremation has taken place and a family remembrance will take place at a later date.
