Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra Christine Little, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, friend and colleague passed away this past Friday, May 12, 2017 at the QEII hospital from respiratory complications. Sandra was born on May 23, 1946 to parents, Hugh and Mary. Sandra was predeceased by her sister, Janet, and leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Susan Little, Lunenburg; brother-in-law, Jim White, Windsor; nieces and nephews Rebecca Frankiss (John) United Kingdom, Kyle Little, Wollongong, Australia, Jennifer Kershaw (Ben),Greenwood, Andrew White (Katie Campbell), Windsor, Matthew White (Heather Lamb), Kingston, Ontario ; great nieces and nephews Lucy, Ruth, Adam, and Samuel Frankiss, United Kingdom; Ethan, Kaylee and Aidan Kershaw, Greenwood; Finley White, Windsor. Sandra loved her family and took great delight in the growth and achievements of the children. A bright, beautiful, athletic child; Sandra was accomplished in both the classroom and in sports. We can particularly remember her beauty on the ice as a figure skater and the many provincial accomplishments on the tennis courts as a youth. She graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School and completed education and Masters degrees at Dalhousie University. A successful, varied, professional life followed including classroom teaching with the Halifax City School Board, Councilor at Saint Mary's University, Human Resources at CBC and the Federal Development Bank of Canada and sales at the former Mills Brothers. Sandra loved the fashion industry; it supported her beauty and she enjoyed the dalliance in the industry prior to joining Elections Nova Scotia these past ten years. A special thanks to all QEII Section 8.4 personnel, for the care and kindness shown Sandra and the family. Sandra gave a lot to life but life, at times, was hard on her. Sandra wanted to be remembered as you remember her now. She did not want the trappings of a formal funeral. Friends and colleagues are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship, our closure, from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. this Thursday, May 18th at the Westwood, 2717 Gladstone Street, Halifax. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
