Obituary of Garnet Elroy Alders

Garnet Elroy Alders, 75  passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Valley Regional Hospital on February 22, 2018. Born on July 22, 1942 he was the son of the late Harry and Blanche (Langille) Alders.

He is survived by his partner of many years Sherry, sons; Chris of Alberta, Stephen (Sheri), Pictou, and Mark of Lawrencetown, grandchildren; Lindsay (Craig) of New Ross and Caitlin of Coldbrook, great-grandchild Remy of Coldbrook and his only sister Paulette Cullerier, Toronto. He was predeceased by his brothers Harry and Doug.

Garnet was passionate about his trucks and his two dogs; Princess and Shelby. He took great pride in caring for his properties with mowing and gardening.

A visitation will take place from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Tuesday February 27 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel.  Interment to take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656).
