Obituary of Ronald Everett Hunter

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ronald passed away on Saturday evening, April 21, 2018. He was born ion August 26, 1933.

A very quiet man of few words, but very kind and loving. First thing he would say when fred came in was, "Whats you doing now, Fred" or "Where are you working?" If the twin grandsons went by with their big trucks, he would say, "Wonder where they are working". Great Boys.

Jeannie was the apple of his eye and he was so very proud of his grandson, John who is serving in the Armed Forces. His son, Gary's health was a great worry to him.

When the great-grandchildren visited their grandparents next door and came over to our house and lined up on the couch to wait for their treats, they were questioned by their Grampy. He also loved the step-children like they were his own.

He loved horses and cats and had a cat that stayed by his side night and day. He always said his greatest passion, besides loving me, was to ride around the country in the car. I took him for a drive that Saturday that he died, and as we were driving, I asked him if he was happy. His words were, "As long as I'm with you and the wheels are turning, I'm happy." He also liked for us to ride around all day on the four-wheeler. He made a lot of trips to the hospital and was always treated with kindness.

He attended The Upper Vaughn Baptist Church and took Jesus as his personal saviour several years ago.

He was a wonderful husband and will be missed beyond words. This is my tribute to Ron, who will always be in my broken heart. Thanks Ron for the most wonderful 17 years. Your loving wife, Kitty.

Ronald is survived by his wife Kitty, sons Fred (Patty); Gary (Debby); step-son Lee (Barb); step-daughters Catherine (Allen); Wanda; sister Mary (Morris); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by father Loderick; mother Grace; former wife Gerldine; son Tommy; sister Jeanie Elizabeth; and a brother in infancy.

A Service will be held on May 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the St. Croix Cemetery.
