DUNN, Lillian Mae - 93, formerly of Aylesford East and Berwick, Kings Co. It is with a deep sense of loss that the family announce the death of their beloved mother on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Ivany Place Northwood Care, Bedford. Lillian was born in Harmony, Kings Co., and was a daughter of the late Noble and Miriam (Morse) Saunders and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She married Norman Arthur Dunn in 1939 and after the Second World War they settled in Aylesford East, taking up farming and bringing up their family. After Norman?¢s death in 1977, Lillian continued living there until 1999, when she moved to Berwick, where she spent many happy years, enjoying her new friends and tending to her beautiful rose garden. She was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church and a life-time member of W.M.S. Lillian was also a member of the Sewing Circle, where she shared her gift for quilting and made many beautiful quilts that were enjoyed by all her family. She was devoted to her family and was cherished by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Doris Elizabeth Dunn; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Mary Dunn; sisters, Marion (Dick) Aldred; Hazel (Lewis) McMaster; Beulah (Curtis) Banks; brother, Chester Saunders. Surviving are loving daughters, Eleanor (Wayne) Grennan, Halifax; Brenda (Bernie) Eisener, Ottawa, Ont.; Louise (Robert) Archibald, Lower Sackville; son, Edward (Vena) Dunn, Digby; grandchildren, Gavin (Debra Egan), Damon (Joy Beeler) Grennan; Rod (Lynn Landreville), Thane (Leslie) Eisener; Pamela (Michael Parsche) Eisener-Parsche; Sara (John) Campbell; Erin (Honza) Pokorny; Emily (Christopher Burris) Archibald; Scott (Debbie), Jason (Emma Wright) Dunn; step-grandchildren Jesse and Amanda Burns; nine great-grandchildren; also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Helen Stoddard, Sterling, Ont.; Edith Dunn, Castlegar, B.C.; Ina Saunders, Harrod, Ont. Visitation for Lillian will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Monday, December 13, in Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy # 1, Aylesford. Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating, assisted by Rev. John Campbell, with burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Aylesford Baptist Church, Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity.
