After a career in menswear in Montreal, Bob returned to the Maritimes in 1971, where he resided in Dartmouth and later Wolfville. His life-long interests in art, travel and film inspired him to establish Light and Shadow Video in Wolfville in 1989, specializing in independent cinema. Known locally as "Video Bob," he remained involved in promoting local film festivals, taught a course on the History of Film, and in retirement could still be found volunteering at Cinematopia. Bob loved to share his culinary talents and passion for food, hosting gatherings of family and friends as well as community fundraising dinners featuring international menus.
