Born December 19, 1936, in Corner Brook, NL to Leo and Anne (Mercer) Companion, she was the second eldest of seventeen children. She loved square dancing and served as co-chair with her husband, of the Rainbow dancers of Welsford as well she enjoyed curling with the Berwick seniors Curlers for a number of years. Our cabin at Robinsons River, NL was dear to her and we spent at least a month each year there for the last 25 years previous to that it was just about every weekend plus vacation there.
