So sorry to hear of Phyllis’ passing. She was a bright light and had a great sense of adventure. She and Harold were game for anything…even lawn bowling in the church! Thanks for your support and wishing you and your family many happy memories Harold.
Blessings,
Tom Woods

It was a pleasure to get to know Phyllis and Harold through Dinner Theatre prep at Port Wallis United Church. They made a dedicated team, reliable workers and I am glad to have known them and hope to see Harold back at church when circumstances allow it. My sympathies to all the family on Phyllis' passing.

The Lighthall family is very sorry to hear that Phyllis has passed.
She is remembered with fondness. She was always positive, cheerful and kind.
It was always fun to go to Beth's house. Phyllis was a wonderful mother.
She was also a great baker.
Phyllis and Harold raised a beautiful family.
Many families moved from the street over the years. It was nice to see them stay.
There is a lifetime of happy memories to cherish.
Thinking of you all.
Debbie and family.

Very sad to hear this. Extending our condolences to the Thompson family. Living two houses away and hanging around with Brent, Mrs Thompson saw all phases of my adolescence: spiked hair, rat tail, brush cut, new wave, punk rock, pro ping pong player wanna be. No matter the trend, she would give me the “well, isn’t that interesting” look, never judging, but knowing not to encourage such ridiculousness. Mrs Thompson would have nice chats with my mother, even though my mother’s English wasn’t the best, she made the time. We will miss her.

Our deepest condolences to everyone in the family. She was a very kind and lovely woman whom we had the great fortune of meeting many times while visiting with Peter & Beth. I know this must be very hard for everyone and would like to extend our thoughts and support at this time.

We would like to extend our condolences to Phyllis' family. She was a wonderful nurse to work with at DGH and she helped me when I first returned to the profession. She was very good to her patients. She always spoke very fondly of her family.

Phyllis and Harold were best neighbors and we will certainly miss that smiling face of Phyllis during the summer. She was so helpful when my Mom was in the Dartmouth General and on Phyllis's floor, she would always check in with my Mom during the night. It certainly made it easier for my family. Great person, who will be missed.
Our condolences for this grave loss

A donation has been made, in Phyllis' memory, to the Canadian Nurses Foundation by the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae. The Foundation supports nurses' education and we believe it a fitting memorial for our members. We hope Phyllis would have thought so too.
