Obituary of Linda Joyce Deveau

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda Joyce Deveau, 70 of Berwick passed away on January 13, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Long-time resident of Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Vivienne (Hiltz) Lee.

To Linda, family meant everything. She worried about everyone and did anything she could to help them. She loved her visits from her “girls” and the daily chats with her daughter. Her road trips with her mother and sisters were always a treasured adventure. Linda also enjoyed many summers with Brian at their cottage in Lake Paul.

Linda worked as a hairdresser in the Grand View Manor in Berwick for over 35 years. Gardening and cooking were always a passion of hers and you never left her house hungry. Linda loved watching the cardinals visit her yard; “Visitors from Heaven,” she said.

Linda may have been small in size, but she was unbelievably strong and she fought every day just to keep going for the past few years.

Always putting her loved ones before herself; we will miss you more than words could ever express.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Brian; daughter, Shelley (George) Hardy of Lake Paul; step-son, Mike (Vania) Deveau of Harbourville; granddaughter, Jessie DesRoches; step-grandchildren, Dillon; Allison; Chandler; Jess; and Josh; sisters, Donna (Wayne) Silver of Rockland; Ann (Ira) MacLeod of Berwick; Mary (Mike Garber) Lee of Millville; Bonnie (Al) Price of Middleton; Patty (Doug) Acker of Canaan; brother, Robert (Mary) Lee of Berwick; and sister-in-law, Maureen Lee of Berwick.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brothers, Allison Lee and Bennie Lee, who died in infancy.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations, in her memory, may be made to charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
