Elizabeth “Betty” Diane Myles, age 77, of New Minas, passed away on February 8, 2023, in her home surrounded by family and friends. Betty was raised in Lockhartville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Winnifred (Spencer) Henshaw.

Betty enjoyed being a member of the Kentville Lions Club. She loved her cat Muffy and listening to country music. She was also a social butterfly, stopping to talk to everyone she met.

Betty is survived by sisters, Kathy Burton of Lockhartville, Sandra (Kenneth) Parr of Lockhartville, and Cheryl Conners of Bog Road; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by son, Brian, and sister, Gloria.

The family would like to specially thank Betty's friend and caregiver Cindy Andrews and all those who helped with her care including the  VON, Palliative Care workers, and Family First Medical.

Cremation has taken place and a Service will be held on April 11, 2023, at 2:30 pm in the Serenity Funeral Home, interment will follow in the Lower Horton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the VON, SPCA, or charity of one's choice.
