Evelyn Adelia Strong, age 97 of South Waterville, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Born on August 14, 1926 in Seabrook, Digby Co., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Sarah (Banks) Roberts.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Harold; daughter, Edith Strong; and sisters, Beatrice Roberts and Alice Nichols.

“She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.”

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Anna (Graham) Baxter, Cambridge; and Norma Strong, Dartmouth; and son, Edward (Elizabeth) Strong, Waterville. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Rodney (Cora) Baxter, Coldbrook; Rhonda Baxter, Cambridge; Jason (Tanya) Strong, Bridgewater; and  Justin (Lori) Strong, Coldbrook.  She was also very proud of her great-grandchildren, Laura and Michell Baxter; Keisha and Lukas Kane; Charlie and Emmett Strong; and Lily Strong; also her three step-great-grandchildren, Allie Brinson, Mikayla, and Chevy Webster.  

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes a private family service will be held by Serenity Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
