Obituary of Kenneth Cairns

It is with deep regret that the family announces the passing of Ernest “Kenny” Cairns, our husband, father, and most of all papa, on October 3, 2024 in the Valley Hospice. Born on July 17, 1954, Kenny was the son of the late Arthur and Reine Cairns.

Ken was as honest as they come, he was known for being a good and hardworking man who spent a majority of his career working for the railroad, he began his career in 1972 and retired in 2012. The people Ken met while travelling extensively played very important roles in his life, the stories he told were remarkable and the people who knew Ken were amazed by them. His interests were phenomenal, for 10 years even his vacations entailed working on private cars.

Above all Ken was a devoted husband, father and papa his family, especially his grandchildren meant the world to him. Ken will truly be missed.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; sons, Brandon and Garett as well as his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by Hilda and Fred Wright
