Obituary of Joseph Frank McGladrie

Joseph “Joey” Frank McGladrie, 28 left the world peacefully on December 28, 2024. Born on October 7, 1996, Joey was the son of Dawna McGladrie and the late Jim McGladrie.

Joey loved to go camping, sitting by the fire and being close to nature. You could usually find him working with his hands as it was fulfilling and provided him with a great sense of accomplishment. Joey took pleasure in cooking; he found it calming. He was also a collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. Even on his worst days, Joey was always there to lend a helping hand to his loved ones, he profoundly treasured his friends and family and never hesitated to tell them, that includes his fur sons, Striker and Lonestar. Joey was a bright light in this world, he will be missed by all that have been left behind to grieve him.

Joey will be missed by his momma, Dawna McGladrie (Simms); gramma, Catherine Simms (Rogers); aunts, Tracy Carmichael (McGladrie), Sandi Simms, and Shelly Simms; cousins, Kelsey Simms, Santina Carmichael, Damon Roberts, Brennan Waterman, Nicholas Waterman, Olive Roberts and Raya Rooney.

In addition to his father, Joey was predeceased by his grandfather, Cliff Simms; aunt Sherri Selig (Simms); his grams and gramps, Jim and Jeannie Roberts as well as his great grams, Margaret Wallace.

Joey’s celebration of Life will be held on January 9, 2025 at 2:00pm to 4:00pm  in the Middleton Legion. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the New Grafton Community Hall in Queens County and the Thalia Barn Cat Rescue, Annapolis County.
