Obituary of Harlen Frank Harris
Harlen Frank Harris, 85 of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 16, 2025, in the Valley Hospice with his family by his side. Born in Gaspereau on January 11, 1940, Harlen was the son of the late Wesley and Hattie (Davidson) Harris.
Harlen was a skilled woodsman who worked in the forestry and logging industry for many years. He was also employed by the Town of Wolfville until he could no longer work due to a decline in his health. Harlen was a true outdoor enthusiast, he took pleasure in hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Harlen is survived by his wife, Connie (Schofield) of 63 years; son Peter (Donna) Harris; daughters, Doreen (David) Huntley and Lorraine Harris; grandsons, James “Jamie” Lawrence, Chad (Amanda) Lawrence, Tyler (Jenn) Huntley, Aaron (Kasee) Harris and Ryan (Claire) Harris; great grandsons, Jack Huntley, Clark Harris and Quillan Harris; sister, Pauline and his brother, Hartley; many nieces and nephews as well as his special hunting companion Stephan (Jennifer, Morgan, Cody) Marsters.
In addition to his parents, Harlen was predeceased by his sisters, Marguerite Jordan, Hazel Corbett, Marjorie LeBlanc and Gloria Rafuse; brothers, Lovett, Elwin, Waldo, David and Wesley jr.; and sister-in-law Bertha Harris.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Gaspereau Baptist Church with a reception to follow in the Gaspereau Community Centre. Family Flowers only.
