Obituary of Rodney Allan Griffiths
Rodney Allan Griffiths, 67 a cherished member of the Digby community passed away on February 28, 2025. Born in Digby on August 1, 1957, Rodney was the son of the late Harry Griffiths and Evelyn Melanson.
For most of his life, Rodney was a fisherman, he later went on to work for Birch Street Seafoods. When he had a moment to unwind, Rodney enjoyed walking his dog, playing video games and watching movies he was also a very talented sketch artist. Rodney had a great passion for motorcycles and appreciated the times he was able to socialize with his friends. Rodney also enjoyed the simple things life had to offer such at merely taking a moment to gaze at the stars.

Rodney is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Joshua) Hamm of Bridgewater; son, Steven Griffiths of Deep Brook; siblings, Rhonda Keel of Texas, Richard (Bonnie) Griffiths, Deanna (Roger) O’Neil of Plympton, Michelle (Jason) Graham of Westport, Jeanine (Ken) Erikson of Alberta, Joyce (Dean) Griffiths of Digby, Joanne (Michael) Griffiths of Digby and Nicole (Brian) Thibodeau of Deep Brook.
Rodney was predeceased by his parents, Harry Griffiths, Evelyn Melanson and his stepmother Velda.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 2:00pm in Deep Brook, NS at 234 Burns Hill Road. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Conway, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
