Obituary of Sheila Mae Davidson

Sheila Davidson

February 26, 1946 - March 10, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Davidson on March 10, 2025, after a lengthy and challenging battle with Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.

Sheila was a wonderful, warm, caring and generous lady who always carried a positive spirit. She cared deeply about the people in her life and never hesitated to give her time to anyone who was in need. Among Sheila's favorite pastimes was the game of Bingo. She found joy in the camaraderie and friendly competition of the game, often creating many cherished moments with friends and loved ones. Her love for Pepsi was also noteworthy, serving as a constant companion during her leisurely moments.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Russell; daughter, Rosalie (Cory) Powell; sons, Fred (Jessica) Davidson and their children, Emma and Lucas; and Rick (Brenda) Davidson and their children, Dennis (Amanda) and Shannon (Iain) and 3 great-grandchildren. Sheila is also survived by her sister, Betty (Lloyd) Watton and brother, Tom (Violet) Augot.

Sheila was predeceased by her mother and father, Frederick and Genevive Augot; sisters, Beatrice, Latulippe, Marie, Kathleen and brothers, Freddie, Michael, George, Leo, and Donald.

“Sheila loved each and every person who came into her life unconditionally and never hesitated to show it. Her generous, kind and giving spirit will be missed forever and never forgotten. May her kind spirit always inspire us to lead a life as selfless and enriching as hers.”

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the teams at Mountain Lea Lodge and Shannex, Orchard Court, for the extraordinary care given to Sheila over the past years. They also extend a heartfelt thank you to Rosemary Mapplebeck for the support and love given to Sheila during her last years of life.
