Merle and extended family: So sorry to hear about Donnie. Been years since I've seen him but I remember that years ago when we moved into our brick home in Avonport, Donnie liked to visit a lot. Then off to Toronto he went, so was never able to connect with him anymore. He is in a better place with no more worries. Gwen

To all of Dons family, I’ve had the opportunity to know Don for the last couple of years while living in New Minas. I just shake my head when I think about him being gone because he was such a good person. I didn’t realize he was as ill as what he was. My friend and I would talk silly to him saying oh my goodness we better put our glasses on Mr. Don hottie is sitting up there on the balcony. And he would laugh and he said I thought you were gonna bring the dancers for the table. and we would tell him we were waiting for him to do his dance on the table 1st, and he would just laugh. he had some bad memories to here which I felt really bad for him but you know he never spoke badly. He just told you and that was all and we never talked about it anymore. Now Dons heart and soul are where they’re supposed to be now in his own little happy world somewhere. So dear Don you will never be forgotten by me and probably many others. Each time I go by the apartment up top you were in I will think of you and remember our hilarious moments with the sunglasses , laughing and about the dancing. Cheers my friend!
