So sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing. We would meet often at Rices for coffee. I always enjoyed his intriguing
Stories. And yes Jimmy was a Master at refinishing furniture. He once did an old Lincoln rocker for me. Outstanding job. Rest in peace Jimmy.

I’m sending my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of Jim. He was a friend, and a joy to know. His obit has captured the essence of the person he was. At so many weddings, he was the best man and I was the bridesmaid. We had many a chuckle over that.

Sam, Wendy, Fred and Families: sending our sincere condolences to you all. Jim was certainly his own person, living his life his way! That is to be commended! The tribute you posted gives a very special look at the life of this very special person. We will remember Jim with a smile—remembering his stories and dry sense of humour.

Way back in the fifties my parents didn’t have a TV so on Fridays Jimmy would invite me to his house to watch “The Lone Ranger” and “Roy Rogers” cowboy shows. We would play cowboys and Indians outside until the show came on then we would lay in front of the TV and dream about riding our horses. Those were the days. Jimmy my friend may you rest in peace.

I remember my first day of school at Berwick when I went into the class, this little blond guy came over and gave me a big kiss. That was the first time I met Jimmy, and we laughed about it when I told him many years after. The written tribute to Jimmy was so beautiful, for a great guy. RIP Jim.
