Professor Bent was my honours advisor at Acadia and he retired a year before I graduated. He is an intellectual with a heart. Gave me the academic freedom that enabled me to progress beyond my dreams. God bless and thank you.

Forrest was a wonderful man. He beamed success from head to toe. Not by his accomplishments, which were nothing short of admirable, but from his pride of family, community, and lust for life. Forrest treated me with kindness and was gentle to everyone he met. You could just tell, Forrest had some interesting stories. Forrest lives on through all who met him.

I am grateful for Forrest's life over many years. He has a tremendous legacy in the lives of students through his ministry with InterVarsity canoeing out and International Christmas. His encouragement and support of student ministry made a huge impact in my life and I believe he was a man gifted with encouragement and hopefulness. I give thanks to God for Forrest and his heart for helping others in the name of Jesus.

Dr Bent was my genetics professor at Acadia and a great inspiration in my life and my passion for science. As head of the Biology department he frequently mentored me on what direction I should go. I’m so thankful to have known him. I met him on the street a couple of years ago and told him he was one of the best teachers I ever had in my life and that his legacy is written in the achievements of my own children. Rest in peace, Forrest. I’ll miss seeing you around town.

So sorry to hear this. He was an amazing thoughtful man, full of integrity and faith. I met him many times along the streets of the Wolfville with his hiking poles, out walking … Moving faster than many of us! No small feat for someone in his 90’s
The stories he told, sharing stories from India and beyond, and his unwavering faith will not be forgotten. RIP Forest

We met Forrest at a Christian Camp on PEI around 1975 and have kept in touch since then. Sounds like he had a full life. Just saw him the other day and as usual he looked content with his situation. Condolences to the family.

Forrest ! What a wonderful friend for so many years. We have shared so many times together. Memorable was the times when our young children would lift their arms up to him and say "hold me uncle Forrest". My deepest condolences to all in the family
