Obituary of Beverly Handspiker

Beverly "Bev" Nelson Handspiker, 86, passed away on May 11, 2025, in the Tideview Terrace, born in Digby on July 6, 1938, Beverly was the son of the late, Nelson and Dorothy (Titus) Handspiker.

During his years of employment, Beverly worked at Digby Forgin, Beaver Marine LTD, later in life, he became self employed and started his own business, Handspikers Heating Service.

When Beverly wasn’t working you could find him enjoying the simple things in life, Golfing, Fishing, Car Racing, Gardening and putting together puzzles.

Beverly is survived by his daughters, Shirley, Leona, and Teresa (Amber); sons, Douglas (Crystal), Calvin (Audrey), and Joseph (Lisa); sister, Virginia (Harry); five stepchildren; eight grandchildren as well as six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Beverly was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; brothers, Darell and Curtis and his sisters, Barbara, Marilyn and Leona.

Beverly’s family would like to give a special Thank You to Tideview for their kindness, care and compassion during his stay, they were all wonderful with him.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 12:00 in the Digby County Funeral Chapel followed by Bev's Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm.
