It is with deep sorrow, broken hearts and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Judson Clarence Lutz, 80, of Aylesford, Nova Scotia on May 17, 2025. Born on February 28,1945, in Berwick, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Aubrey Lutz and Nellie (Lacey) Lutz.

Judson leaves behind his loving partner of nine years June (Wood) Hiltz and his four daughters, Cora Rushton of Calgary, Alberta, Jenny Lutz of Calgary, Alberta, Christina Lutz of Kingston, Nova Scotia and Belinda (Lutz) Vince and Son-in-law Danny Vince of Didsbury, Alberta; his brother Hilton Lutz (Brenda) of Lake Paul, Nova Scotia; sisters, Betty (Lutz) LeBreton (Jack) of Mirimachi, New Brunswick and Cherlyn Lutz of Auburn, Nova Scotia; grandchildren-Charles (Rick) and Brittany Rushton, Chantalle and Matthew Amero and Ryley Sibley, Jessica Lutz and Sammi (Thurston) Desrochers, Nikita, CJ and Courtney Thurston, Brandon and Taryn Lutz and Cheyenne and Dawson Vince; great grandchildren-Chase and Faith Gemme, Keane Desrochers, Alison Thurston, Nixon Turner and Ryker Philips, Domanic and Julian Thring and Aiden and Landon Lutz and Liam Farrow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Judson was predeceased by his second wife Rosalie (Pudsey) Lutz, brothers, Aubrey (Sonny) Lutz (Linda) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Carl Lutz (Lynn) of Scarborough, Ontario, as well as his grandchildren, Krissy-Lynne and KJ Thurston.

Judson was an avid fisherman and hunter since he was a young boy, witty, kind-hearted, hardworking, loving, story telling, particular, set in his ways, honest, trustworthy, and as his nephew Jamie Lutz said it best, ‘Judson was quick to stand up for what he thought to be right, true, honest and a tell you like it is, fearless, friend’ and a friend you would want on your side! He was happiest spending time with June cooking, baking, making preserves, gardening, listening to country music, spoiling his dog Sophie and his cat Baby and road trips to the South Shore to see family and friends, as well as Digby for Seafood!

Following Judson’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Coldbrook, Nova Scotia.
