Obituary of Edith Marie Trimper
Edith M. Trimper, passed away at home on July 1, 2025, with her family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Cossaboom) Hazelton, and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Edith is survived by her children, Greg Gidney of Lake Echo; Linda (Wendell) Gregory of Culloden; Ralph (Barb) Gidney of Milton; Pam Gidney of Kamloops; Michael (Lisa) Gidney of Digby; Susan Gavel of Culloden; Paul Gidney of Culloden; 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren as well as her stepchildren, Steve Trimper of Mount Pleasant; Seldon (Dorothy) Trimper of Bridgewater; Roland (Gloria) of Doucetteville and Twyla Doherty of Waterville.
In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her first husband William E Gidney and her second husband Lovette Trimper; her sons William (Bill) Gidney; Richard (Dick) Gidney and John Gidney and her daughter Edith Gidney and a stillborn daughter; her grandson Nicholas Gidney and great grandson Mathew Tessier. She was also predeceased by two of her stepchildren Dale Trimper and Catherine Robicheau and her brother Reginald Hazelton.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday July 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Union Cemetery, Culloden. A reception will follow at the Culloden Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made in Mom’s memory to the Union Cemetery, Culloden or the Culloden Baptist Church.
