Obituary of Dianna Lucilla Reade

Dianna Lucilla Reade, 79 passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in the Hants Memorial Hospital. Born in Windsor on November 10, 1945, Dianna was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph and Daisy Walker.

Dianna loved deeply and lived fully, always placing her family and friends at the heart of her life.

Dianna devoted many years to her family and community through her work. She spent 20 years at her parents’ restaurant, Walkers, where she loved meeting new people and engaging in lively conversation with everyone who walked through the door. Later in life, she served as Secretary for Patricia Miller’s Educational Services at the Windsor Baptist Church for eight years, embracing and enjoying all the responsibilities of both roles with dedication and warmth.

Dianna also dedicated her time to her community, serving on the boards of the Windsor Minor Hockey and Avon Figure Skating Club, often spending countless hours cheering from the chilly rink. She treasured the opportunity to meet the children and volunteers who made up these close-knit families. Her faith was central to her life, and she always cherished her role as a member and Deacon of Kempt Baptist Church. Her church family supported her through both joyful and challenging times, and she valued the love and fellowship they shared.

Dianna is survived by her children, Angela (Lonny) Curry of Falmouth and Chris (Jannick) Macpherson of Bedford; her sister, Judy Walker of Windsor; her brother, Ken (Bev) of Windsor; her grandsons, Brandon (April) Curry of Falmouth, Reyde Macpherson of Bedford; her granddaughter, Kristen Curry of Invermere, British Columbia and her great niece, Melissa Walker-Nauss.
