Obituary of Betty Lorraine Keddy

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of Betty Lorraine Keddy of Aaldersville on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Kentville on January 31, 1956, Betty was the daughter of the late Gardner and Shirley (Hiltz) Keddy.

Betty was the heart of the family, always ready to lend a hand whenever she was needed. Whether it was looking after her nieces and nephews or simply showing up with a smile, the children were always thrilled when she would stop by. Betty was an avid bingo player and a passionate NASCAR fan, and she never missed a chance to enjoy a good jam session. Deeply involved in her community, Betty took great pride in helping with local events and gatherings. As the only girl among six brothers, she held her own with strength, humor and a loving spirit that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her partner of 33 years, Leon Corbett of Aaldersville. her daughter, Danielle (Scott) of Kingston, as well as their children, Danny Johnson, Katelyn (Brandon) Johnson, Sonya Macumber, Alexia Macumber, Ethan Macumber and Ryan Macumber, as well as great grandaughter, Mylah.; brother, David and his wife, Lisa of Blue Mountain; their sons, Joshua (Meaghan) and their daughter Brinley as well as Brandon (Caitlyn) and their son, Waylon; brother, Derek and his wife Valerie of Aaldersville; their sons, Kimber (Savannah) and their son, Dana as well as Bradley and his son, Bryson; brother, Steven of Aaldersville; brother, Kenneth and his wife, Jean of Coldbrook; their daughter, Brittany (Ross) of Port Williams as well as their son, Wesley; brother, Neil and his wife, Anne of Coldbrook; their daughters, Alisha; Chelsea (Zach) of Ross Corner as well as their sons, Logan and Nathan.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother, Danny as well as her great granddaughter, Skylar.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 6:30 – 8:30pm in the New Ross Chapel. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 2:00pm in the New Ross Chapel with a Reception to follow. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. James Cemetery Fund.
