Obituary of Wendy Dawn Weir-Margeson
Wendy Dawn Weir, born on January 3, 1959, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 66. At the time of her passing, she was residing in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, surrounded by the love and care of her family and friends.
Wendy's life was marked by her dedication to her family and the joy she found in raising her five children. Her proudest achievements were not accolades or awards but rather the deep connections she fostered with her family. Wendy was a devoted mother to her children, Ryan, Michael, and Brittany, Zachary, and Dyllan who were the center of her world. Her love and support guided them through life's challenges and triumphs, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
In addition to her role as a mother, Wendy was blessed to become a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren. Meeting each of them brought immense joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Wendy was known for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many, and her presence could light up a room. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Terry Margeson. She is also survived by her children, Ryan (Sandy) Weir, Michael (Travis) Weir, Brittany (Derrick) Cook, Zachary Margeson, and Dyllan Margeson who carry forward the lessons and love she imparted to them, and also her grandchildren, Mason, Lyndi, Rylie, Kelcey, Ethan and Logan.
As we remember Wendy, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday September 18, 2025 at 10:30am in the Grace United Church, Digby, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia and Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
