My deepest condolences to Jeremy, Mallori, Junior and all the family.
Bruce held a big part in our memories of the very special community of East Ferry. He was a wonderful neighbour. In lobster season there would be a knock on the back door of Rambling Rowes and there was Bruce with a big smile holding a pail of lobster for us. In winter after a big snow he would drop the plow blade in our driveway as he was passing by. He would only accept homemade soup! We loved the end of season when everyone gathered to enjoy friendship and chowder at Bruce’s. We watched Jeremy and Mallori grow into adults. Your dad was so proud of you.
I like to think that my Harold and Bruce are heartily shaking hands as they meet again on high.

I am deeply sorry to hear the passing of Mayor Bruce. I was just in to see him a few years back and I can remember playing with the dogs and Brian was just a puppy .
I ended up leaving with a fat bloody lip. Bruce just laughed it off for just being a puppy, which is true.

Bruce was a big part to me as a young child , from building lobster traps down below in the old house , to throwing up on crates of lobsters when on the old lady in winds we shouldn't have been in . To evening drives in the white mustang, pretty sure he still had our plate on it . Life took me places away, but when I did get in for a visit, he made me feel like I never left . We never talked like I would have liked, but I think he always knew how I felt about him . He will be seriously missed , and my best to the family. I wish I could make it down

We met Bruce shortly after moving to East Ferry three years ago. He welcomed us as a good mayor should, then he went above and beyond, plowing our yard the first winter and bringing us his delicious chowder! He was a top notch guy and we will certainly miss him. Condolences to the family, you lost a legend.

Our deepest condolences to Bruce’s family. Thank you Bruce for getting that bell hung at the East Ferry Cemetery. What a kind gesture for the whole community. We certainly gave it a good ring when home to bury Sheila in May. Sounds like Bruce was a very kind man. Sorry I didn’t get to know you cousin.

Never a dull moment working for Bruce. He would dream up a project for me just to have company for a while lol redid that old fish shack into a little cottage. Second story, deck with roof all around, etc..it was fun. wanted me to do the inside of his new house just so I would have winter’s work. Very thoughtful very kind person. I will miss him.

Bruce was our next door neighbour and welcomed us to East Ferry as only the honorary Mayor could! Always there to help when asked with a ready smile. We shared a love of dogs , thankfully! When my husband could no longer manage cutting the grass he just took it on . He welcomed us to the Theriault family reunions held at his home and shared his lobster catches . Always brought the best lobster dip to the East Ferry get togethers! And sorry Brian Stanton but I liked his chowder better! May the seas always be in your favour.
