Obituary of Elmer Eugene Sproule
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Elmer Eugene Sproule, 84 from a heart attack in the early hours on September 12, 2025, in the Valley Regional Hospital.
Elmer was a beloved husband to Hattie Viola (Dorey) Sproule (1945–2021) and a proud father of four children, whose deep love shaped every moment with his family. His presence brought comfort, his devotion unwavering to the end.
Elmer is survived by his children, Barry, Wayne, Allen, Judd and Shelley; grandchildren, Christina, Brandon, Maegan, Andrew and Rebecca; brothers, Donald, Harold, Russell, Doug, Alford and Judd; sister Donna Schofield; stepbrothers, Franklyn, Major, Larry and Ivan as well as seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Elmer was predeceased by his wife, Hattie Sproule.
Elmer will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Hattie in the Morristown Cemetery, on Friday September 26, 2025, at 3:00pm followed by a brief outdoor gathering at the Sproule Family Home: 651 Rockland Rd. Berwick, NS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 198 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS 902-679-2822.
