Obituary of Susan Ann Brown
On September 20, 2025, the world lost a rare soul. Susan “Suzie Q” Ann Brown who passed away in the Valley Regional Hospital lived with purpose, loved without condition, and left behind a beautiful legacy. Born on September 3, 1964, in Wolfville, Susan was the daughter of the late Donald and Edith Brown.
Susan always knew how to make you laugh, not with effort, but with an ease that came straight from the heart. Her smile could brighten even the heaviest of days, and her laugh, full, warm, and completely contagious, she had a way of pulling others into joy whether they meant to smile or not. Being around her felt like a reminder of how light life could be, even in its harder moments. She had that rare gift to lift spirits simply by being herself.
Everyone loved Susan. Her infectious personality made people feel instantly comfortable, like they'd known her forever. She had a way of showing up fully, present, engaged, and endlessly kind. Whether it was a quick chat, a long conversation, or just her sitting beside you in silence, she made people feel valued and loved. That was her magic.
Susan loved the simple joys that made life sweet. She never missed a good game of Bingo, always hoping for a win, but just as happy to be surrounded by friends and laughter. Her beloved dog Snookie was never far from her side, a constant companion and loyal friend. But above all, Susan loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and nothing made her light up more than time spent with them, whether it was a family gathering, a phone call, or just a quiet moment together.
Susan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her absence leaves a space that can't be filled, a quiet reminder of just how much light she brought into the lives around her. Whether you knew her for a lifetime or only a moment, she left you better for it. Her laughter, her warmth, her unwavering love, those are the things we will carry with us, always.
Susan is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kristal Parker and Melissa Parker of New Minas; grandchildren Seriena Parker, Pheonix Leblanc, Koltan Parker and Kaiden Brown as well as her sisters, Sandra Munroe and Donna Levy.
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her brothers, Kris Brown and Larry Brown.
