Visser, Janna Jantina, 1932 - 2006 of Waterville, N.S. On December 19, 2006, Janna's pilgrimage through this life over high mountains and through deep valleys came to a peaceful end at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville She took up residence in her new home not made by man to be in the company of her Lord and Saviour and all the loved ones who have gone before her. Left behind to mourn this loss are her husband, helpmate, and the love of her life of almost 38 years, Nico. Her son Andrew, daughter-in-law Cecilia, and granddaughter little Anneli, Longview, Texas. Her son Mitchell and wife Jennifer, and grandchildren, Madeline, Leah, Eric, Austin, Sophie and Nico, all of Waterville. sister: Riek (Johanna) Brouwer, Holland; brothers: Henk Meijer and Jan (Nette) Meijer, both of Holland: brother in law, Jan Knuit, Holland. She was predeceased by her baby son Edward Nico and a sister Gine Knuit. Janna was born in St. Anna, Holland to the late Wilhem and Hendrikje (Brouwer) Meijer and in 1968 immigrated to Canada. A private family visitation will be held on Thursday and the general public visitation Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. both in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home,34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, (Exit 14) Coldbrook. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the New Covenant Church, Cambridge.. Rev. Bill Hogeboom officiating. Private family intermentl will be in the Berwick Cemetery. The family would like to thank her family and friends for their care and support for their mum during the past several years and also to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Regional Hospital and the VON for their compassionate care and kindness. A very special thank you and appreciation to Dr. Robert Gunn for his care and attention given to our wife & mother through her time of need.
