McLearn, Lester Dimock, 76, of Black River, Kings Co. passed away peacefully March 9th 2007 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in South Rawdon, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Watson & Belle (Weldon) McLearn.Lester worked for 10 years with Standard Paving and then became a loom operator working at Weavexx from where he retired. Lester was an avid woodsman and was a daily patron at the Snack Shop in Kentville.He is survived by four sons: Stephen (Judy) of Greenwich, Francis (Tara Lee) of Black River, Wendell (Yvonne) of Melanson & Dale (Tammie) of Woodville; two daughters: Darlene (Jim) Hennigar of Forest Hill & Cheryl (Wade) Sommers of Port Williams; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeffrey & Brian Hennigar, Josh & Joel McLearn and Mitchell Sommers; two brothers: Clyde McLearn of South Rawdon & Robert (Sally) of Mount Uniacke; four sisters: Edna Curry of South Rawdon, Doris Wile of Windsor, Norma Collier of Ellershouse & Bernice Lochau of South Rawdon.Lester is predeceased by his wife: Shirley (Mason) McLearn.Visitation will take place today from 7-9 p.m. in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook (Exit 14). The funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13th in the Gaspereau United Baptist Church, Gaspereau, with Rev. Mark Shaw officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the South Rawdon United Baptist Church Cemetery, South Rawdon.Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Lester may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville or to the charity of one??s choice.
