Lonar, Annie Elizabeth, 93, of Coldbrook, Kings Co. passed away on Tuesday July 3, 2007 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late William & Julia (Munden) Parsons. Annie along with her husband, Gordon Sr. owned & operated, Lonar??s Grocery business in Halifax for 18 years. After the death of her husband, she moved to the Annapolis Valley in 1968. She was a member of St. Anthony??s Roman Catholic Church in Berwick and a long time member of the CWL. Annie is survived by daughters: Sheila (Donald) Cornect, Coldbrook; Gail (Jim) McNeil, Grand View Manor, Berwick; sons: William (Dianne), Coldbrook; Terry, Calgary; sister, Blanche Henderson, St. John??s , NL; step sister, Maria Downton, Grand Falls, NL; step brothers: Charles Warren, Burgeo, NL and Harry Warren, Medway, ON; daughter-in-law, Bridie Lonar, Coldbrook; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Gordon, Annie was predeceased by son, Gordon Jr.; brothers: Jack, Levi & Thomas in infancy; sisters; Leota and Edna. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, July 6 from 7 -9 p.m. in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (Exit 14) Coldbrook. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Berwick. Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of N.S. or to a charity of one??s choice.
