Leary, Elias Stewart, 87, of New Ross, Lunenburg Co., passed away Wednesday September 26th 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Falmouth, N.S., he was a son of the late Elias & Anna (Unrau) Leary. Elias drove a truck for Avon Foods for 20 some years. He was an avid gardener and in his earlier years he loved to hunt & fish. Elias is survived by his wife the former Annie (Naugler) Leary, three sons: Reid (Clara) of St. Croix, Victor (Pam) of Falmouth and Wayne (Myrna) of Newport Station, three daughters: Doreen (Jerry) Allen of Windsor, Anna (Wayne) Langille of Newport Station and Sandra (Gary) Langille of Alberta; one sister: Doris Stevens of Liverpool; several grandchildren & several great grandchildren; two step sons: Russell (Betty) Skerry & Edison (Anna) Skerry; two step daughters: Virginia (Michael) Rafuse & Dianne (George) Skerry. He was predeceased by his first wife: Neta Pauline; one son: William; four sisters: Alice, Josey, Sadie & Edith; two brothers: Edward & Walter; two step sons: George & Charles Skerry. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, N.S. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday October 1st 2007 at the New Ross Anglican Church with Rev. Leonard Bednar officiating. Interment will take place at the New Ross Anglican Cemetery, New Ross. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Elias may be made to the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department.
