Pineo, Gerald Edward "Jud" - 78 of Berwick passed away suddenly at his home Tuesday, November 13th, 2007. Born in Amherst, N.S., he was the son of the late Guy and Mary (O??Mally) Pineo. Jud was a lifelong electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a veteran of the Korean war, a member and President of the Kings County Veterans club , past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kentville, having been involved for some 35 years. He was a former member of the "Dukes of Kent", a 3rd Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a very active member of St. Anthony??s Roman Catholic Church, Berwick Gerald will be sadly missed by his wife, Ena; his sons: Bradford (Jodi); Berwick, Mark (Sherry), Berwick; daughters: Gwendolyn (Jim) Murray, Falmouth; Katharine (Larry) Hiltz, Aylesford; 11 grandchildren: Tim Schofield, Anthony Schofield, Matthew (Margie) Hiltz, Amy (Ken)Strong , Jennifer Hiltz, Mitchell Pineo, Calen Woodworth, Sadie Woodworth, Ashley Pineo, Sarah Pineo, Jillian Pineo; 1 great grandchild ,Henry Hiltz; sisters: Kay (Ray) Isnor, Greenwich; Roberta (Christian) Weir, Medford, Mass. Ruby (Alyn) Andrews, Riverview N. B; brothers: Malcolm (Cora), Wolfville; Eugene (Dorothy) Medford, Mass. He was pre-deceased by bothers: Stuart and Fred.Visitation will be held Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4pm both in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, (Exit 14) Coldbrook. Kings Branch #6, Royal Canadian Legion, Kentville will hold a legion tribute service at 7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be 11am Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church ,Berwick. Rev. Father Larry Pitcher officiating. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the service. Private interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville.
