Obituary of Donald Eddie Levy

Donald Eddie Levy, age 90 of New Ross, passed away on January 9, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on May 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ruby Levy of New Ross.

Donald started working in the woods for his father at a very young age. He worked at many woods related and christmas trees jobs before working in various saw mills, including Elliott’s where he worked until his retirement. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling stories from years ago. He also enjoyed playing cards and espcially enjoyed playing bingo on Sundays when he got to go twice to Oak Hill and Mahone Bay “fire halls”.

Donald is survived by his twin brother and best friend, Ronald; brother, Willie; and sister, Audrey. He was an uncle and great-great-great-great uncle to many nieces and nephews; second Dad to Marlene, Darlene, Ethel, Eddie, Timmy, Robert, and Connie; and a special Papa to Jennamae (also known as Elliemae).

In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brothers, Josh, Willard, Lawrence, Reginald, and Aubrey; and sister-in-law, Louise.

A Visitation will take place on January 18, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, in the New Ross Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on January 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm  in the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the New Ross Fire Department.
