MILLETT, Floyd Theodore ?쳌 75, New Minas, Kings Co., passed away Saturday January 9, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville with his loving wife of 54 years, Suzanne by his side. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Merton and Leona (Crowell) Millett. He lived 28 years in Toronto working as a contractor before he moved back to Nova Scotia in 1975 to start Millett & Son Roofing, which he ran until 2008. Floyd was a kind and generous man, lending a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed outdoor activities, fishing, boating, horse shoe playing, camping at all the music festivals. He loved just driving his red truck around the valley, always making his trip to Wolfville to go into Rafuse Supplies. Floyd always enjoyed people dropping into the house to play cards. He was a great dancer. He is survived by his wife, the former Suzanne "Sue" Deighan; son, Wayne, Canning; daughter Pamela, Winnipeg; three sisters, Gladys McFarlene, Marion Madder and Linda Preston, all of Ontario; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Pepin (Millett) and brothers, Clyde, Keith and Basil. Cremation has taken place. A funeral memorial service, followed by a reception will be today, at 10:30 a.m. in H C Lindsay Funeral Chapel, Kentville with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Floyd's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. C.
