Viewmount, Kings Co. passed away peacefully with her family, on Sunday November 4, 2007. Born in Viewmount, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Genevieve (Howell) Sweeney. Mrs. Clem was a member of the Burlington & District Women's Institute since May 1988. She will be sadly missed by many family & friends. Surviving are her husband, Lorimer; daughters, Ruth (Douglas, deceased) Meier; Joan (Brendan) Gibney; Carrol (Peter) Stewart; sons, Eric (Noreen); Neil (Wendy); Darrel (Joanne Comeau); grandchildren, Natalie, Ben, Brett; Heather, Caitlin, Austin; Ian, Briana; Chesley, Bradley; siblings, Marion (Myles) Balsor; Ronald (Gloria) Sweeney; Hilda (Morris, deceased) Ruggles; Helen (Fred, deceased) Wagstaff; Beatrice (Alan, deceased) Whittier; Kenneth (Linda) Sweeney; sister-in-law, Phyllis Sweeney; brother-in-law, Colin MacDonald; and a large extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Carolyn; sisters, Eleanor Coleman; Freda MacDonald; brother, Robert Sweeney. There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Mrs. Clem will take place 2 p.m. Thursday November 8, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Pastor Kay Dean D.M. officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Burlington & District Women's Institute.
