Passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 4, 2007, at his home in Aaldersville, near New Ross, where he was born on January 25, 1921. He was a son of the late Edgar Norwood and Florence (Hiltz) Burgoyne. Surviving are a son, Terrence, Toronto, Ont.; daughters, Dawn, Aaldersville; Heather, Canberra, Australia; grandchildren, Dylan, Emily & Molly; sisters, Eva (Aldon) Durling; Helen (Floyd) Smith; Edith (the late Alvin) Russell; Mary Walsh. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia in 1987; brother, Clifton (Evelyn). Ray was a life member & past master of Norwood Lodge # 135, A.F. & A.M., New Ross and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 79, New Ross. He was a retired farmer and employee of the New Ross Consolidated School for 26 years. There will be a Masonic Service 6:30 p.m. Friday followed by visitation from 7-9 p.m. and Funeral Service 10 a.m. Saturday September 8, all in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, N.S., B4N 2K5, (902-678-2151). Rev. Leonard Bednar officiating, with burial in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill.
