81, of Greenwich, passed away Sunday May 18, 2008 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Massachusetts, U.S.A., he was a son of the late Elmer and Pauline (Strum) Brown. Francis served in the Korean Conflict. He worked for T.P. Calkins, Kavanaugh's, and worked as a laborer throughout the Valley. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Kentville Branch No. 6. Francis enjoyed building electric trains. He always enjoyed a good game of hockey and bowling. Francis will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 yrs., Faye Brown, besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eugene and sister Rose. Visitation for Mr. Brown will be held from 7-9 p.m. with a Legion Service at 7 p.m. Tuesday May 20 in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 21. Rev. Robert Billings officiating. Interment will take place in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
