85, Avonport, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in the Veterans' Unit of Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Weymouth North, Digby Co., he was a son of the late Willis and Zelia (Cook) Cosman. He served overseas in the Royal Canadian Artillery, serving in England, Italy, Belgium and Holland. Following the war, he was self-employed in the garage and service station business. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Phyllis MacLeod- Cosman; sons, Bradford (Lorna), Randall and Michael; grandchildren, Tracey (Jim), Amy (Darren), Andrea (Graham); great- grandchildren, Anderson, Aidan, Emily; brothers, Robert (Marie), Fredric (Doris). He was predeceased by his son, Kevin; sisters, Avis Manzer, Treva Manzer; brothers, Keith and Russell. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). There will be no visitation or funeral service as per his own wishes.
