87, North Alton, passed away in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton on June 30, 2008. Born in Sheffield Mills April 26,1921, a daughter of the late Ethel (Legge) and Delbert Pearle. She lived all her life in Kings county, except while traveling with her late husband Fred Butler when he worked for the department of Highways. She had a strong faith and enjoyed teaching Sunday school in her younger years. She participated in other projects while health allowed, as well as for her community. She is survived by brother David and her nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Fred; brothers, Lorne and Roy; sister Annie Bennett. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, remembering her " sense of humor". A special "thank you" to Saunders Rest Home and staff for the wonderful care given to her this past year. Visitation for Ethel will be from 7-9p.m. Thursday July 3 2008, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave. Kentville (902 -678-2151). There will be a funeral Service on Friday July 4, 2008 at 2:30 pm. in North Alton Baptist Church, with Reverend Quincy Collins officiating. A reception will follow the funeral service in the church hall. Interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory may be made to the North Alton Baptist Church or charity of choice.
