77, Kentvile, formerly of Gaspereau Mountain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2008, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Gaspereau, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Fletcher) Smith. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to go fishing and hunting with her husband and family, as well as knitting and making her lovely rugs. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Crouse Bower and husband, Robert, New Minas; Belinda Crouse Schofield and husband, Kevin, Gaspereau Mountain and Pamela Crouse, Kentville; brother, Wilfred "Wish" Smith and wife, Kay, Gaspereau Mountain; sister-in-law, Christine Smith, Kentville; good friend, Madeline Harris, Aylesford; grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Amelia, Jacob, Evan, Kitrick and Kacey; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Clearance and brothers, James "Jim" and his wife, June; William "Bill", Raymond "Buzz" and his wife, Hazel. There will be visitation for Mrs. Crouse from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5 in Gaspereau Baptist Church with Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Burial in the Gaspereau Cemetery.
