73, Waterville, Kings Co., passed away Wednesday February 4, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., he was a son of the late William H. "Bill" and Mildred V. (Hudgins) Dalton. Wilfred had worked at M.W. Graves Ltd., Berwick, for many years and had worked at A.C.A. Co-Operative Ltd., New Minas for 21 years. He enjoyed gardening and his dog, "Chief". Surviving are his wife, June E. (Baltzer) Shaffer - Dalton, Waterville; brothers, Howard (Ella) Dalton, Nicholsville, Kings Co.; Stewart (Kathleen) Dalton; sisters, Linda & Darlene Dalton, all of Waterville; several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Dalton; sister, Emily Dorey. Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. Sunday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place, 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 9. Pastor Kirby Smart officiating, with burial in the Cambridge Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society of Canada.
