Obituary of Elizabeth Davidson
Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
79, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Surviving are husband of 55 years, Gerald V. Davidson; special cousin and friend, Joyce Beattie; half sister, Mary (George) Schofield, all of Berwick; several nieces, nephews and various cousins. Besides her parents she is predeceased by sister-in-law, Ruth (Fred) Bligh; Arnold (Freda) Davidson. Betty and her husband left Nova Scotia for Florida after their marriage but eventually travelled across the U.S. before settling in Los Angeles (Hollywood). There Betty worked for the Bank of America for 17years until her career was cut short by a work place injury. They stayed in L.A. until 2004 when they returned to Nova Scotia to be close to old friends and especially family, as Betty was recovering from a serious illness. Betty had a great sense of humour and loved to tease. She loved cats dearly, although she was allergic to them. A new stuffed cat would always bring a smile to her face, as would the antics of the neighbourhood felines outside her windows. She had recently made new friends at Hilltop Haven where she was recovering from a broken hip and will be missed by all those that knew her. Visitation for Betty will take place from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., Monday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). A private Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday in the Aylesford Union Cemetery, with Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or to any charity. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.hclindsayfuneralhome.ca
