63, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Belleville, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Madeleine (Laguerre) Dexter. She retired as a Master Corporal from the Canadian Military in 1987. Anne successfully ran the Berwick Inn, for many years with her late husband, Bruce. Upon her retirement she learned the age old Nova Scotia craft of Rug Hooking, and became an avid volunteer at the Berwick Food Bank and was a member of the South Berwick Women's Institute. Anne was a lover of animals and was the best friend a person could have. Surviving are sister-in-law, Sandra Tanaka; Suzanne Wagstaff; brothers-in-law, Robert and Dave Morrow; nephew, Robert Drummond; godson, Jamie Allan Lawrence Coulson, all of Ontario; close friends, Jim and Pat Gibson, Berwick; Carolyn Ross, Ottawa, Ontario; Suzanne Atkinson and David Weintraub, Liverpool. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Allan Drummond (October 11, 2000). There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Anne will take place at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Rev. Linda Winton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Berwick Food Bank, Kings Co. S.P.C.A. or to the South Berwick Women's Institute.
