Wolfville, passed away Monday September 29, 2008 at her home, Wolfville. Joyce is remembered as a loving and spiritual person, who cared deeply for others. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (David) Kyd, Wolfville, Christine (Paul Campbell) Laws, Toronto ON; son, Ian (Donna Hakansson) Laws, Hay River, N.W.T.; granddaughter, Rose Kyd; sister, Joan (Harold) Young, Annapolis; Maryland, USA and many nieces and in-laws. Joyce was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Laws and second husband, Fred Harford. Visitation will take place from 3-5 p.m. Sunday October 5 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday October 6 in St. John's Anglican Church, 164 Main St., Wolfville, Rev. Bruce Matthews officiating. Another memorial service will be held in Joyce's memory on Saturday November 1 in St. Luke's Anglican Church, 760 Somerset St. West, Ottawa, ON. A private family interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please, however, donations in memory may be made to Valley Hospice Foundation (902-542-2265) or to a charity of choice.
