90, Wolfville, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in McAdam, N.B. he was the son of the late Roy and Mable (Johnston) Grant. Ron was a resident of Wolfville for over 50 yrs. He was a very active member of the Wolfville United Baptist Church. He was a representative of Great West Life for over 30 yrs., a member of the Wolfville Rotary Club and always active in the community. Ron was a loving and caring man who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Mary Grant, Wolfville; daughters, Susan (Gordon Gavin) , Kentville; Mary Jane (Michael) Jeffrey, Enfield; granddaughters, Sarah (Chris) Hamilton; Barbara (Bill) Hibbs, both of Cole Harbour. There will be no visitation. A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 18 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). Rev. Dr. Barry Morrison officiating. Burial will take place in Willowbank Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
