85, Aylesford, passed away Friday October 31, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kings Co., he was a son of the late Steve and Catherine (Morley) Johnston. Paul was a resident of Lake George and a former resident of Coldbrook. He served over seas in the Second World War. He was a long time employee of Scotian Gold and retired as a Refrigeration Engineer. In his earlier years he loved fishing, hunting and the out doors. Paul took great pride in growing his flower gardens each year. He was a very kind and gentle man. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Paul is survived by his sons, Pat (Carolyn), Canann; Mike (Joanne), Coldbrook; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his extended family, Charles "Mert" (Marion) Hutt; Andy (Alicia) Hutt; Barry (Nora) Hutt; George (Christine) Hutt; Kenny (Karen) Hutt; Steven (Tina) Hutt; Joy (Yves) Gagne; Rose (Glen) Jordon. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his companion, Ruth Hutt and brother, Earl James. There will be no visitation for Mr. Johnston, by his family's request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday November 5 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S. B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900) . Interment will take place in Aylesford Union Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
