74, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2009, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Newtonville, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Ella (Card) Jordan. Edith was a lifelong resident of Wolfville. She was a nursing assistant at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium, B.F.M., and E.K.M. Hospital's. Edith was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Orville; sons, Paul (Sherry Ann) of New Minas; Brooks of Centreville; daughter, Tanya Levy of Scott's Bay; brothers, Joseph and David on Newtonville; sisters, Mary (Beverly Petterson), Greta (Orin) Levy, both of Wolfville; Pauline (Jack) Price of Hantsport; grandchildren, Selena, Jason, Cory, Alyssa, Brendan, Amanda and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Lealand, Cash, Jayden, Cohen and Alina. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Florence, Lottie and Hazel. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, January 22, in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, in Gaspereau Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Shaw officiating. Burial will take place in Willow Bank Cemetery. Donations can be made to Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of your choice.
